Testimonials

I just got new tiles laid in my house that were very expensive. I needed to get them sealed but couldn't afford to pay much for it. On the other hand I didn't want to go for a company offering cheap and unreliably services. My boss recommended Tile Cleaners, saying that the company's prices were reasonable and that they offered quality service when he used them. I contacted them and ended up doing a booking with them. It is very pleasant to know that there are companies out there who actually care about providing very high quality services for affordable prices. I gave your contacts to my sister. Thank you for the job you did

Robert Williams, Norman Park, QLD

We got our tiles more than 25 years ago. We were told that we had a solvent sealer on our tiles, which apparently most companies wouldn't be able to strip off. However we rang a couple of places to check them out. No luck. A friend of mine recommended Tile Cleaners. We rang the guys and they agreed to have a look the next day. We decided to go ahead with the job after getting a satisfactory quote. Tile Cleaners team stripped and resealed our old tiles. We are very grateful for your help guys. Thank you again.

I was about to sell my business and wanted to clean and reseal my vinyl floors to improve the looks of them before having people over for inspection of the property. I did a booking with another company but was horrified when I realized that my floor was back to its horrible look in less than two weeks. I carefully looked up other cleaning companies, scared that I would chose the wrong cleaning company. A friend of mine recommended Tile Cleaners, but after what happened to my floor last time I got it cleaned I was really skeptic, but gave it a go. All I can say is thank you guys so much for a quick response and a good job. I sold the office and left your contact details with the new owner for future cleaning.

At Tile Cleaners ® we use only the best water based products alongside our state of the art cleaning machinery to provide the best cleaning solutions at no compromise to your stone tiles condition. Tile Cleaners ® prides itself for catering for each tile type.

Tile Cleaning places great importance on the safety of your family throughout the cleaning process and guarantees the use of non-toxic finishing agents. Our commitment to safety is rooted in protecting your loved ones by avoiding any potentially harmful substances or ingredients. When selecting cleaning products, Tile Cleaning exercises utmost care to exclude any ingredients that could pose health risks. This approach not only helps preserve the condition of your stone tiles but also exemplifies our dedication to prioritizing the overall health and safety of your household.

To maintain the fresh appearance of your stone tiles and grout, Tile Cleaners® suggests a weekly cleaning routine using a damp microfiber cloth and a mild detergent. This helps remove dirt and grime from the tiled surface. It's important to avoid using strong detergents that may affect the sealer. Instead, opt for mild detergents and pH-neutral substances. For optimal protection against staining, our top recommendation is to have your stone tiles sealed with one of our highest quality sealers. Sealing provides the best safeguard for your stone tiles.

If the stain is relatively new and hasn't deeply set into the stone, there is a good chance that we can remove it. However, we cannot provide a guarantee of complete stain removal; our assurance lies in cleaning the stain to the best possible condition. The effectiveness of stain removal also depends on whether the stone tiles have been previously sealed or not. Certain stains may penetrate the natural stone and settle below the surface, making them difficult to clean. To prevent future staining, it is essential to have us perform the process of stripping, cleaning, and sealing your stone floor. This comprehensive treatment ensures that your stone floors are protected against potential stains.

Our pricing for cleaning stone tiles is based on a per square meter rate for each individual room. To provide transparency, we have a detailed price list available on our website for you to review. To ensure a smooth and efficient process, we kindly request that you measure each room individually before our arrival. This helps facilitate a fast and straightforward billing process at the end of the service, benefiting both parties involved.

To obtain an accurate measurement of the stone area, we suggest measuring each room individually. Simply multiply the width by the length of the room. For instance, if a room measures 3 meters in length and 2 meters in width, the calculation would be 3 * 2 = 6m² in total.

Tile Cleaners® does not provide assistance with moving large furniture due to insurance limitations. However, we are more than willing to assist you in moving smaller items as needed.

Move all furniture and items off the floor so it is ready for when we arrive.

While nothing can be completely maintenance-free, sealing your stone surface can make it easier to clean and more resistant to staining. The sealing process creates a protective barrier that allows contaminants to sit on the surface for a longer time, giving you more opportunity to clean them up before they cause staining. Unsealed stone surfaces are more susceptible to immediate staining. It's important to understand that no stone sealing product can make a porous surface completely stain-proof, but it can significantly enhance its stain resistance. Additionally, using appropriate stone cleaning products plays a crucial role in maintaining the longevity and appearance of your stone.

Natural stone products contain dirt, residues, dust and grime in their pores. These pores need to be cleaned well before any sealant is applied to the surface of the stone. If dirt etc. is trapped under the stone sealer sooner or later it will cause a milky white residue between the top of the stone and the underside of the sealer. The only way to remove this is to remove the stone sealer and clean.

Natural surfaces are subject to deterioration and degradation of appearance through traffic, UV rays, moisture, rain, chemicals, and other impurities such as oil, gas, grease, acids and salt. This can easily result in common problems such as cracking, pitting, scaling, spalling, delamination, dusting, discolouration, efflorescence, salt damage, etc. Sealing offers excellent maintenance benefits when quality products are used such as Australia's Deepshield™ deep impregnating sealers. Sealing a stone surface will provide effective protection against permanent damage but spills should still be cleaned up as quickly as possible.

It depends on the type of sealer used and the amount of foot traffic the surface is exposed to. Australia's Deepshield® range of deep impregnating water based sealer's offer long term benefits with Deepshield Gold® lasting up to 15 years. Topical sealer's have a life expectancy of around 3 years. If you have a high amount of foot traffic or perhaps severe weather conditions(for outdoor tiles) you may experience a shorter lifetime. Sealing your floors can also depend on the surfaces condition. Once they start showing patchy areas and begin staining easily then you should have them resealed. A natural stone floor can keep its natural finish for a lifetime if looked after properly. To ensure that this is true make sure you use the correct products for your natural stone floor. Give us a call and we can assist you with all your enquiries.

You can determine if your stone surface has been effectively sealed by conducting a water test. Pour a small amount of water onto the surface and observe its behavior. If the water is quickly absorbed into the surface, it indicates that the surface requires sealing as it is not adequately protected. However, if the water forms into small beads and remains on the surface without being absorbed, it suggests that the surface has been properly sealed and the sealer is providing the desired level of protection. This simple water test can help you assess the effectiveness of the seal and determine if any resealing is necessary to maintain the surface's protection and appearance.

Sealing pavers or stone alters their properties but does not have the ability to modify the surrounding environment. If you have a damp and shaded backyard, sealing the stone or pavers will not change those conditions. However, sealing reduces the porosity of the surface, which can inhibit the growth of algae and make cleaning easier. While it is worth considering sealing in most cases, it is important to understand that sealing alone may not completely eliminate algae growth if the environmental conditions are conducive to its development. Additional measures, such as regular cleaning and maintenance, may be necessary to effectively manage algae growth in such situations.

Even though your polished marble/limestone/travertine has been sealed, you may still notice marks on the surface. It's important to understand that these marks are often not stains but rather etches. Acid-sensitive stones, such as these, can be affected by any acid, which can lead to a loss of polish and the creation of a dull or frosty surface. For example, red wine can cause both a stain and an etch on unsealed stone, but on a sealed stone, only the etch may be visible. Penetrating sealers function by sitting below the surface of the stone, preventing acid from deeply penetrating and causing stubborn stains, but they may not fully protect against surface etching. Acid can come in various forms, such as fruit juices, wine, salad dressings, or even urine in bathroom settings, and can cause damage. The good news is that this type of damage can typically be repaired.

Tile sealing services typically do not come with guarantees. The lifespan of our Impregnating Water Based Sealers is approximately up to 10 years, depending on various factors such as the quality of the stone, traffic levels, and maintenance practices. It is essential to note that sealing does not create an impenetrable barrier, but rather provides a timeframe to address spills. While an unsealed floor can stain immediately, a sealed floor is resistant to staining and allows for a reaction time of 4-5 hours. A penetrating sealer is applied just below the surface of the stone, preventing spills from penetrating and staining the stone. However, it is unable to prevent acid-based spills (like red wine, vinegar, urine, fruit juice, etc.) from causing etching or burning on the stone surface, leading to a dull or frosty appearance. It is crucial to promptly clean up spills of this nature to prevent permanent damage to the stone surface.

In our services, Tile Cleaners® exclusively employs high-quality cleaners and sealers sourced from reputable industry suppliers. These products are carefully chosen to ensure their suitability and effectiveness for the specific task at hand. We prioritize using premium products to deliver optimal results in our cleaning and sealing services.

The technician who performs the cleaning and sealing of your floors will provide you with personalized maintenance advice specific to your tiled area. In general, we recommend using a mild cleaner, such as Spirit "Neutral Cleaner," at least once a week to keep your tiled floors well-maintained. Tiles with a textured surface may benefit from using a doodlebug instead of a mop for a more effective clean. It is important to avoid the use of harsh chemicals as they can diminish the longevity of the sealers. Additionally, when mopping, remember to change the water frequently to prevent spreading dirty water across your floors.

If your grout (and stone, if applicable) have not been sealed before, it is possible that certain stains, especially in high-traffic areas, may be permanent. However, if your grout (and stone, if applicable) have been previously sealed, the sealing should have prevented the penetration of dirt and other contaminants, resulting in an excellent outcome after cleaning.

Porcelain tiles can be a source of confusion in the market, and many resources have been dedicated to clarifying the various aspects involved. It is important to note that the more inquiries you make, the more perplexed you may become. As a general guideline, textured and honed porcelain tiles typically do not require sealing, while polished porcelain tiles often benefit from it. This may seem counterintuitive, as the polishing process creates tiny pores that are prone to staining. Applying a high-quality penetrating sealer can effectively fill these pores and provide reliable stain protection. On the other hand, textured porcelain tiles usually require thorough cleaning due to their rough surface. If you find yourself uncertain, conducting a stain test can be helpful. Obtain a sample stone or an off-cut and attempt to stain it using substances commonly found in that particular area. If staining occurs, it indicates a potential benefit to having the porcelain tiles sealed.
