Testimonials

I have several different freshly laid tiles in my new house. All pathways have stone tiles and there are marble tiles in the bathrooms and porcelain in the kitchen. I needed to get them sealed and was not sure if it was possible to seal them all. I contacted Tile Cleaners because my dad recommended them. He had a similar situation in his house and was very happy with the job Tile Cleaners had done. I was very worried about my tiles since they were brand new and very expensive. Tile Cleaners team were very patient with me, explaining how they were going to apply the sealer on different types of tiles, what sealer they would use, how long it would last for and advised me on how to take care of my tiles. I called Tile Cleaners a few times confirming details, asking for prices, making sure they could to the job during the weekend etc. The guys were amazingly patient and helpful. When I had gathered all the information I wanted, I was ready to go ahead. The work done by Tile Cleaners actually took less time than what it took me looking for information about it. Sorry for the pain I caused, and again thank you.

Thank you Tile Cleaners ® for dealing with the solvent sealer I had and resealing my hallway; I know it's a pain but you did a great job. I will definitely call you again as I need help with my tiles in the office.

Paul Gold, Gold Coast, QLD

I was about to sell my house, but was not happy with the tiles in the dining area. The tiles were white and shiny but the grout looked really dark and dirty. I already had a potential client; however the dark grout ruined the beauty of the room. I didn't have much time to fix the grout and decided to call Tile Cleaners as my real estate agency mentioned them. As my real estate agent said, Tile cleaners responded really quickly. They also pointed out that some of the grout was coming off in the hallway when they were there, which I had not even noticed. Thank you for fixing my problem so quickly. The house is sold now and I left your details with the new owner so they can keep the tiles in good condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Efflorescence has built up on my travertine tiles. Can you remove it? - Stripping and Sealing | Stripping and Sealing Travertine Floors

  • A: Yes we can. Efflorescence is a build up of salts and can be removed with efflorescence removers and other specialised cleaning techniques. Efflorescence is typically caused by a leakage behind the travertine tiles or through damaged grout lines. The efflorescence can be removed but it is important the cause of the efflorescence is resoled.

Other FAQs :

  • Q: How will you charge me for stripping and sealing my Travertine tiles?
  • A: Tile Cleaners® charge per square meter for each separate room. There is a price list on the Tile Cleaners® website for you to review. Before we begin our work we will measure each room individually, confirm the work to be carried out as well as confirm all costs with you.
    • Q: How do I know when my travertine floors are ready for cleaning, stripping and resealing?
    • A: You will know it's time to have your travertine floors stripped, cleaned and sealed once they begin to appear dull or "matte" even after you have given them an efficient regular clean. If you notice that your travertine tiles are staining easily, it's a good indication that your previous sealer is wearing off and your travertine floors will need to be resealed immediately to prevent permanent staining.
      • Q: What can I expect in terms of mess during the stripping process of my granite tiles? Is there a risk of damaging my walls or skirting boards?
      • A: When it comes to the stripping process of your granite tiles, Tile Cleaning prioritizes the use of high-quality non-solvent-based stripping and sealing products. These products are specifically designed to minimize mess and ensure the protection of your granite tiles and other surfaces in your home. With our current non-solvent-based strippers and techniques, there is no significant risk of damaging your walls or skirting boards. In rare cases, where solvent-based strippers may be required, we take extensive safety precautions and ensure that you are properly informed. If such circumstances arise, you may be required to vacate the premises for up to 48 hours to ensure your safety. Rest assured, we prioritize cleanliness and take every measure to safeguard your walls, skirting boards, and other areas of your home throughout the stripping process.
        • Q: Why do I need to strip my travertine floors?
        • A: If you want your travertine floors to be their cleanest and looking their very best you need to have a professional remove as much of the old sealer as possible. Once this is done the cleaning process will be carried out and the sealer applied. You will have the freshest and cleanest possible travertine floors once we are finished with the process.
          • Q: What happens if I don not seal my travertine floors?
          • A: Travertine floors can damage easily, any oily or harsh spills can damage the travertine tiles and penetrate the pores leaving a permanent stain, unreachable by domestic cleaning methods. We strongly recommend sealing you travertine tiles to keep their natural look and feel, to protect them against permanent staining and to prevent any future accidental damage. They will look their very best for longer and will be easier and more convenient to maintain.
