Other FAQs :
- Q: Some areas I want to have ground are in smaller hard to reach places?
- A: In areas that cannot be reached by larger floor grinding machines, the grinding can be done using hand held polishing machines.
- Q: How long will it take to grind my limestone surfaces?
- A: This will depend on the size of the area; larger jobs can require up to 3 days while grinding a bench-top can take up to half a day. Tile Cleaners® do try to ensure work is completed within the same day to avoid as much disruption to your home or business as possible.
- Q: Do I need to apply a sealer to my limestone?
- A: Tile Cleaners® recommend our clients apply a long lasting water based sealer such as a quality product from Australia's Deepshield® range of sealer's to their tiles as soon as they have been resurfaced. Your limestone will maintain its beautiful character for longer, while also reduce the amount of required regular cleaning.
- Q: Will grinding remove the sealer from my limestone?
- A: Yes, the mechanical resurfacing process used to grind your floors will remove all coatings, resulting in your floors being in an "as new" condition. Once honed or polished, you should reseal your surfaces with a deep penetrating, impregnating sealer, which avoids staining and will reduce the effect of soiling.
- Q: Are your products toxic?
- A: Here at Tile Cleaners® we understand the importance of your family's safety, which is why we prefer to use non-toxic finishing agents as we not only want to protect your floors, but your families health too. Materials and agents that present potential health hazards are not in our product portfolio and never have been.
