Other FAQs :
- Q: Some areas I want to have ground are in smaller hard to reach places?
- A: In areas that cannot be reached by larger floor grinding machines, the grinding can be done using hand held polishing machines.
- Q: Are your products toxic?
- A: Here at Tile Cleaners® we understand the importance of your family's safety, which is why we prefer to use non-toxic finishing agents as we not only want to protect your floors, but your families health too. Materials and agents that present potential health hazards are not in our product portfolio and never have been.
- Q: Can grinding remove deep stains in the stone?
- A: Grinding will remove scratches and stains and give a more uniform appearance to your surface.
- Q: Do I need to apply a sealer to my granite?
- A: Tile Cleaners® recommend our clients apply a long lasting water based sealer such as a quality product from Australia's Deepshield® range of sealer's to their tiles as soon as they have been resurfaced. Your granite will maintain its beautiful character for longer, while also reduce the amount of required regular cleaning.
- Q: Will grinding remove the sealer from my granite?
- A: Yes, the mechanical resurfacing process used to grind your floors will remove all coatings, resulting in your floors being in an "as new" condition. Once honed or polished, you should reseal your surfaces with a deep penetrating, impregnating sealer, which avoids staining and will reduce the effect of soiling.
