Testimonials

I have several different freshly laid tiles in my new house. All pathways have stone tiles and there are marble tiles in the bathrooms and porcelain in the kitchen. I needed to get them sealed and was not sure if it was possible to seal them all. I contacted Tile Cleaners because my dad recommended them. He had a similar situation in his house and was very happy with the job Tile Cleaners had done. I was very worried about my tiles since they were brand new and very expensive. Tile Cleaners team were very patient with me, explaining how they were going to apply the sealer on different types of tiles, what sealer they would use, how long it would last for and advised me on how to take care of my tiles. I called Tile Cleaners a few times confirming details, asking for prices, making sure they could to the job during the weekend etc. The guys were amazingly patient and helpful. When I had gathered all the information I wanted, I was ready to go ahead. The work done by Tile Cleaners actually took less time than what it took me looking for information about it. Sorry for the pain I caused, and again thank you.

Thank you Tile Cleaners ® for dealing with the solvent sealer I had and resealing my hallway; I know it's a pain but you did a great job. I will definitely call you again as I need help with my tiles in the office.

Paul Gold, Gold Coast, QLD

I was about to sell my house, but was not happy with the tiles in the dining area. The tiles were white and shiny but the grout looked really dark and dirty. I already had a potential client; however the dark grout ruined the beauty of the room. I didn't have much time to fix the grout and decided to call Tile Cleaners as my real estate agency mentioned them. As my real estate agent said, Tile cleaners responded really quickly. They also pointed out that some of the grout was coming off in the hallway when they were there, which I had not even noticed. Thank you for fixing my problem so quickly. The house is sold now and I left your details with the new owner so they can keep the tiles in good condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the recommended method for cleaning polished concrete surfaces? - Concrete | Tile and Grout Sealing

  • A: To maintain the condition of your polished concrete, it is recommended to clean it using a pH-neutral cleaner. This type of cleaner is gentle and does not damage the polished surface. After applying the pH-neutral cleaner, rinse the area with clean water to remove any residue. In case of spills, it is advisable to promptly clean them up using clean water. Additionally, to eliminate dust and keep the surface clean, using a microfiber mop is recommended. This method of cleaning helps to preserve the polished appearance of the concrete while ensuring that it remains free from dirt and debris.

Other FAQs :

  • Q: What maintenance steps can I take to preserve the appearance of my concrete surfaces and keep them looking new?
  • A: To maintain the fresh and new appearance of your concrete surfaces, Tile Cleaners® recommends regular cleaning using a mild detergent. This weekly cleaning routine helps remove dirt and grime from the concrete surface, keeping it looking clean and well-maintained. It is important to note that strong detergents with high acidity or alkalinity can potentially affect the sealer applied to the concrete. Therefore, it is strongly advised to use mild detergents and pH-neutral substances when cleaning the surfaces. By following these maintenance guidelines, you can effectively preserve the pristine condition of your concrete and ensure its long-lasting beauty.
    • Q: What are the indicators that suggest it is time to clean, strip, and reseal polished concrete surfaces?
    • A: You will know it's time to have your concrete floors stripped, cleaned and sealed once they begin to appear dull or "matte" even after you have given them an efficient regular clean. If you notice that your concrete surfaces are staining easily, it's a good indication that your previous sealer is wearing off and your concrete floors will need to be resealed immediately to prevent permanent staining.
      • Q: Does sealing concrete surfaces help prevent efflorescence?
      • A: Efflorescence can occur on concrete and other porous surfaces when water in the concrete brings salts to the surface as it evaporates. This process leaves behind a whitish coating that can mar the finish of the concrete. Sealing the concrete with a high-quality, water-resistant sealer can help mitigate efflorescence to some extent. However, it is important to address the underlying issue causing the water penetration, such as a water pipe leak or damaged grout, in order to fully prevent efflorescence. By sealing the concrete and resolving any sources of water infiltration, you can minimize the occurrence of efflorescence and help maintain the aesthetic integrity of your concrete surfaces.
        • Q: What are the potential consequences of not sealing concrete surfaces?
        • A: Concrete is a porous material that readily absorbs liquids. In freeze-thaw climates, the expansion of frozen liquids can destroy the surface of unsealed concrete. Oil, salt, fertiliser, and other household chemicals can discolour and damage unsealed concrete.
          • Q: What are the recommended preparations I should undertake before the concrete sealing process?
          • A: To prepare for the concrete sealing process, it is recommended to remove all furniture and items from the floor area. By ensuring that the floor is clear and free of any obstacles, it allows the Tile Cleaning team to access the entire surface easily and carry out the sealing process efficiently. Removing furniture and items beforehand also helps to protect them from any potential damage during the sealing process. By following this simple preparation step, you can help ensure a smooth and effective concrete sealing experience.
