I have several different freshly laid tiles in my new house. All pathways have stone tiles and there are marble tiles in the bathrooms and porcelain in the kitchen. Australia's Deepshield™ range of deep impregnating water-based sealers, for instance, offers long-term benefits, with Deepshield™ Gold providing protection for up to 15 years. On the other hand, topical sealers typically have a lifespan of around 3 years. However, it is important to note that high foot traffic or severe weather conditions, especially for outdoor concrete, can potentially shorten the lifespan of the sealer. There will be some residual dust left on the floor but it will be vacuumed up between steps by another filtered vacuum. A little dust is created when using hand held grinders, however this is removed between each grinding stage.

Q: Will the process polish around edges, corners and other obsticles?
A: It will be necessary to "hand" finish against fixed obstacles. Our technicians will do this during the process.

Q: How soon can I use the floor after the polishing?
A: Polished concrete flooring can be walked on during the grind and polish process. There is no 'cure' time since it is a mechanical process. If a sealer is used, 4 hours is typically required before foot traffic can be resumed.

Q: What is the recommended method for cleaning polished concrete surfaces?
A: To maintain the condition of your polished concrete, it is recommended to clean it using a pH-neutral cleaner. This type of cleaner is gentle and does not damage the polished surface. After applying the pH-neutral cleaner, rinse the area with clean water to remove any residue. In case of spills, it is advisable to promptly clean them up using clean water. Additionally, to eliminate dust and keep the surface clean, using a microfiber mop is recommended.
