Testimonials

My mother's tiles were old and ugly, as she has been living in the same house her entire life without ever really taking care of her tiles. I called Tile Cleaners to get advice on what to do with them. They came to her house the next day to have a look at my mum's tiles. I am very satisfied with how patient and highly professional you were with my mother. I am sorry I couldn't be there when you arrived, and I am really impressed by how you managed to explain everything to my mom and help her out. Thank you for doing a great job.

I noticed that some of the tiles in my bathroom walls were loose and the grout was coming off. I am a very busy so kept on postponing calling someone to fix it. One day I got home and the loose tiles were lying broken on the floor. Can you imagine my frustration? I rang my brother in panic and he gave me Tile Cleaners' contact details. I rang them straight away. The guys told me I needed a tiler and professional regrouting work done so I thought it would take ages to fix my problem. However they organized the work very well. I had my tiles fixed on Friday night the same week and the entire bathroom regrouted on Saturday. Thank you some much for your quick help; it was such a relief.

I have several different freshly laid tiles in my new house. All pathways have stone tiles and there are marble tiles in the bathrooms and porcelain in the kitchen. I needed to get them sealed and was not sure if it was possible to seal them all. I contacted Tile Cleaners because my dad recommended them. He had a similar situation in his house and was very happy with the job Tile Cleaners had done. I was very worried about my tiles since they were brand new and very expensive. Tile Cleaners team were very patient with me, explaining how they were going to apply the sealer on different types of tiles, what sealer they would use, how long it would last for and advised me on how to take care of my tiles. I called Tile Cleaners a few times confirming details, asking for prices, making sure they could to the job during the weekend etc. The guys were amazingly patient and helpful. When I had gathered all the information I wanted, I was ready to go ahead. The work done by Tile Cleaners actually took less time than what it took me looking for information about it. Sorry for the pain I caused, and again thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the reasons for cleaning your stone surface? - Tile Cleaners

  • A: Cleaning your stone surface is essential because natural stone products tend to harbor dirt, residues, dust, and grime within their pores. It is crucial to thoroughly clean these pores before applying any sealant to the surface. If dirt and other contaminants are trapped beneath the stone sealer, they can eventually lead to the formation of a milky white residue between the top of the stone and the underside of the sealer. To rectify this issue, it becomes necessary to remove the stone sealer and perform a thorough cleaning process.

Other FAQs :

  • Q: What measures can I take to maintain the fresh appearance of my stone tiles?
  • A: To maintain the fresh appearance of your stone tiles and grout, Tile Cleaners® suggests a weekly cleaning routine using a damp microfiber cloth and a mild detergent. This helps remove dirt and grime from the tiled surface. It's important to avoid using strong detergents that may affect the sealer. Instead, opt for mild detergents and pH-neutral substances. For optimal protection against staining, our top recommendation is to have your stone tiles sealed with one of our highest quality sealers. Sealing provides the best safeguard for your stone tiles.
    • Q: What types of tiles can be cleaned by tile cleaners?
    • A: Tile cleaners are equipped to clean a wide range of tiles, both indoors and outdoors. They can effectively clean various surfaces such as stone pavers, liquid stone, ceramic tiles, natural stone tiles, clay and concrete pavers, pool mosaics, porcelain or ceramic floor tiles, bathroom stone tiles, and natural stone floors and walls. Regardless of the specific type of tile you have, tile cleaners are capable of catering to your cleaning needs
      • Q: Does sealing my pavers or stone prevent the growth of algae?
      • A: Sealing alters the properties of the pavers or stone but does not modify the surrounding environment. If your backyard is damp and shady, the sealing product cannot change those conditions. However, sealing reduces the porosity of the pavers or stone, thereby inhibiting the growth of algae and making cleaning easier. In most situations, it is advisable to consider sealing as a beneficial option.
        • Q: What is the recommended frequency for re-sealing a stone surface?
        • A: The recommended frequency for re-sealing a stone surface is typically every 5 to 10 years, depending on the quality and type of sealer used. Some premium sealers can last even longer, up to 15 years or even a lifetime. Special stone seal removers are available for resealing natural stone floors. With proper care and maintenance, a natural stone floor can maintain its natural finish for a lifetime. It is crucial to use the appropriate products specifically designed for your type of natural stone floor to ensure its longevity and appearance. Additionally, it is important to seal other stone features such as stairs, tables, pillars, and fireplaces to protect them from staining and damage. Fireplaces, in particular, can be susceptible to staining from carbon deposits and UV damage, making sealing essential for their preservation.
          • Q: What are the reasons for sealing a stone surface and when is the ideal time to do so?
          • A: Sealing a stone surface is crucial to prevent immediate staining from spills and to protect against permanent damage. While sealing provides effective protection, it is important to clean up spills promptly. Different natural stone surfaces require specific sealing methods. For sandstone, terracotta, and limestone, it is recommended to seal them before they are laid and grouted. These materials are highly porous and can quickly absorb stained water from adhesives and grout. Terracotta, in particular, should be sealed on all sides before installation due to its high porosity. Limestone is also susceptible to staining, and caution should be exercised while handling it to avoid leaving finger marks that can later stain the surface. Granite, marble, slate, and travertine, on the other hand, are sealed on all edges and the top after they are laid and grouted. Thorough cleaning is essential prior to the sealing process for these types of floors.
