Testimonials

I just got new tiles laid in my house that were very expensive. I needed to get them sealed but couldn't afford to pay much for it. On the other hand I didn't want to go for a company offering cheap and unreliably services. My boss recommended Tile Cleaners, saying that the company's prices were reasonable and that they offered quality service when he used them. I contacted them and ended up doing a booking with them. It is very pleasant to know that there are companies out there who actually care about providing very high quality services for affordable prices. I gave your contacts to my sister. Thank you for the job you did

I was about to sell my house, but was not happy with the tiles in the dining area. The tiles were white and shiny but the grout looked really dark and dirty. I already had a potential client; however the dark grout ruined the beauty of the room. I didn't have much time to fix the grout and decided to call Tile Cleaners as my real estate agency mentioned them. As my real estate agent said, Tile cleaners responded really quickly. They also pointed out that some of the grout was coming off in the hallway when they were there, which I had not even noticed. Thank you for fixing my problem so quickly. The house is sold now and I left your details with the new owner so they can keep the tiles in good condition.

I have several different freshly laid tiles in my new house. All pathways have stone tiles and there are marble tiles in the bathrooms and porcelain in the kitchen. I needed to get them sealed and was not sure if it was possible to seal them all. I contacted Tile Cleaners because my dad recommended them. He had a similar situation in his house and was very happy with the job Tile Cleaners had done. I was very worried about my tiles since they were brand new and very expensive. Tile Cleaners team were very patient with me, explaining how they were going to apply the sealer on different types of tiles, what sealer they would use, how long it would last for and advised me on how to take care of my tiles. I called Tile Cleaners a few times confirming details, asking for prices, making sure they could to the job during the weekend etc. The guys were amazingly patient and helpful. When I had gathered all the information I wanted, I was ready to go ahead. The work done by Tile Cleaners actually took less time than what it took me looking for information about it. Sorry for the pain I caused, and again thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions

terracotta tiles indoors entry

Other FAQs :

  • Q: What type of sealer is used and does it have an impact on the texture of terracotta tiles?
  • A: Our sealing products primarily consist of water-based formulas. We avoid using solvent-based sealers except in specific situations where no alternative is available. It's important to note that the sealer we apply will not alter the texture of your terracotta tiles in any manner. Its purpose is to provide protection against staining and to preserve the desired lustrous finish you desire for your terracotta surfaces.
    • Q: What is the expected drying time for terracotta tiles after the resealing process?
    • A: After the resealing process, the drying time for terracotta tiles depends on the type of sealer used. Penetrating sealers typically become touch dry within 4 hours, while it takes approximately 24 hours for the sealer to fully cure. Once the sealer is fully cured, you can safely place furniture and other objects back onto the tiles and grout. It is important to avoid getting the surfaces wet for at least 24 hours to allow proper curing. In the case of topical sealers, they generally require around 48 hours to fully cure before normal activities can resume.
      • Q: What can I anticipate in terms of the process when you arrive to reseal my terracotta floors?
      • A: When our professional team arrives to reseal your terracotta floors, they will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring transparency and clarity. The procedure begins by stripping any existing sealer, if present, followed by a comprehensive cleaning and neutralization of the terracotta to eliminate any dust, residue, or potential contaminants that could impact the effectiveness of the new sealer. Next, a fresh sealer is carefully applied to the dry terracotta surface and allowed to properly set. As a result, your terracotta floors will regain their original appearance, while also benefiting from enhanced protection, making them easier to maintain in the long run.
        • Q: Does the application of sealer on terracotta floors make them slippery?
        • A: When using Deepshield™ Impregnating Penetrating Sealer, the slipperiness of your terracotta tiles' surface remains unaffected. This is because the sealer penetrates the top layer, specifically the surface pores of the terracotta. However, it's worth noting that applying a Topical Sealer may potentially make your terracotta floors slippery when they are wet. To preserve both the appearance and slip resistance of your terracotta surfaces, it is advisable to seal them with a high-quality, invisible, and fully breathable impregnating sealer. This not only helps maintain the desired look but also prevents moisture from being trapped within the stone, which can be detrimental to its condition.
          • Q: What are the indicators that suggest my terracotta floors require sealing?
          • A: Determining the need to seal your terracotta floors can be based on a few key indicators. Firstly, if your terracotta floors start to look dull or lose their shine, even after regular cleaning, it may be a sign that they need to be stripped, cleaned, and resealed. Additionally, if you notice that your terracotta tiles are becoming prone to staining easily, it is likely that the previous sealer has worn off, and immediate resealing is necessary to prevent permanent staining. Monitoring these visual cues and taking timely action can help maintain the quality and appearance of your terracotta floors.
