Testimonials

I have several different freshly laid tiles in my new house. All pathways have stone tiles and there are marble tiles in the bathrooms and porcelain in the kitchen. I needed to get them sealed and was not sure if it was possible to seal them all. I contacted Tile Cleaners because my dad recommended them. He had a similar situation in his house and was very happy with the job Tile Cleaners had done. I was very worried about my tiles since they were brand new and very expensive. Tile Cleaners team were very patient with me, explaining how they were going to apply the sealer on different types of tiles, what sealer they would use, how long it would last for and advised me on how to take care of my tiles. I called Tile Cleaners a few times confirming details, asking for prices, making sure they could to the job during the weekend etc. The guys were amazingly patient and helpful. When I had gathered all the information I wanted, I was ready to go ahead. The work done by Tile Cleaners actually took less time than what it took me looking for information about it. Sorry for the pain I caused, and again thank you.

We got our tiles more than 25 years ago. We were told that we had a solvent sealer on our tiles, which apparently most companies wouldn't be able to strip off. However we rang a couple of places to check them out. No luck. A friend of mine recommended Tile Cleaners. We rang the guys and they agreed to have a look the next day. We decided to go ahead with the job after getting a satisfactory quote. Tile Cleaners team stripped and resealed our old tiles. We are very grateful for your help guys. Thank you again.

When I moved into my new house, I was shocked by how dirty and old the tiles in the entire house looked. I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be like that or if they were just really dirty. I decided to call Tile Cleaners and ask them to have a look and tell me what I could do to improve the look of my tiles. Tile Cleaners ® came the same weekend and managed to make my tiles look brand new. They also informed me that the sealer would protect my tiles for years to come. Amazing! Thank you guys! My floor looks gorgeous.

Other FAQs :

  • Q: What are the benefits of hiring a professional to seal my stone?
  • A: Hiring a professional to seal your stone brings several advantages. Firstly, professionals have the expertise to select the appropriate sealer based on the type of stone and its specific needs. They ensure that the stone is thoroughly cleaned before sealing, removing any dirt or blemishes that could be trapped beneath the sealer. This ensures a clean and flawless surface for optimal sealing results. Professionals are knowledgeable about industry standards and best practices, ensuring that the sealing process is done correctly and effectively. By relying on a professional, you can have peace of mind knowing that your stone will be sealed properly, enhancing its appearance and providing long-lasting protection.
    • Q: The stone supplier said to seal my porcelain but my tiler said not to - why?
    • A: The truth is porcelain is creating much confusion in the market place and many pages have been written to try to put all issues into perspective. The more questions you ask the more confused you will be. As a rule of thumb, textured and honed porcelain doesn't need to be sealed, but polished porcelain often does need to be. This is contrary to what may seem logical. The tiny pores that accept staining are created in the polishing process. A good penetrating sealer fills these pores and sets up good stain protection. The textured stone generally just need a good clean because of the rough surface. If you are not sure, do a stain test. Get a sample stone or an off-cut and try to stain it with the things common to that area. If it stains, there is a benefit to having the stone sealed.
      • Q: What are the reasons for sealing a stone surface and when is the ideal time to do so?
      • A: Sealing a stone surface is crucial to prevent immediate staining from spills and to protect against permanent damage. While sealing provides effective protection, it is important to clean up spills promptly. Different natural stone surfaces require specific sealing methods. For sandstone, terracotta, and limestone, it is recommended to seal them before they are laid and grouted. These materials are highly porous and can quickly absorb stained water from adhesives and grout. Terracotta, in particular, should be sealed on all sides before installation due to its high porosity. Limestone is also susceptible to staining, and caution should be exercised while handling it to avoid leaving finger marks that can later stain the surface. Granite, marble, slate, and travertine, on the other hand, are sealed on all edges and the top after they are laid and grouted. Thorough cleaning is essential prior to the sealing process for these types of floors.
        • Q: What is the typical process for measuring the size of the area in floor sealing services?
        • A: When measuring the size of an area for floor sealing services, it is typically done by measuring each section individually. The process involves multiplying the width by the length of each section to calculate the area. For example, if a room has dimensions of 3 meters in length and 2 meters in width, the total area can be determined by multiplying 3 meters by 2 meters, resulting in a total of 6 square meters. This method ensures accurate measurement and calculation of the area size for proper pricing and service planning.
          • Q: What can I expect in terms of the appearance of my floors after the cleaning and sealing process?
          • A: If your grout (and stone, if applicable) have not been sealed previously, it is possible that certain stains, especially in high traffic areas, may be permanent. However, if your grout (and stone, if applicable) have been sealed previously, the cleaning process should have prevented the penetration of dirt and other contaminants. As a result, you can expect excellent results from the cleaning, leaving your floors looking refreshed and rejuvenated.
