Clinics and surgeries are prone to being extremely vulnerable to collecting germs and require specialised cleaning services. Clinic and surgery surfaces are subject to high levels of traffic, so their surfaces are compromised to bacteria and other potential health hazards. Cleaning services will certainly be a necessity; and hiring a team of professionals will prove to be worth every cent.
Tile and Grout Cleaning services mean more than clean floors
A New Approach To Cleaning Clinics and Surgeries
The technology and equipment used by Tile Cleaners® is completely new to the market and has been developed in conjunction with a range of cleaning products that further enhance the efficiency of our system. Using a combination of heat, water pressure, detergents, scrubbing and vacuum the surface can be thoroughly and deeply cleaned and sanitised with all debris being removed rather than moved around and then deposited again.
Once the surfaces of the clinic have been thoroughly cleaned they can then be treated to help prevent the build up of contamination from recurring. It is recommended that all porous materials are sealed, limestone, sandstone, travertine, concrete, granite and marble to name but a few. Sealing helps prevent contamination from spillages of tea, coffee, wine, beer etc. as well as preventing the build up of algae, moss and verdigris when used outside.
In clinics, the continued use of acid formulated detergents will cause discolouration of grout joints causing yellow orange and pink stains to appear in the grout over time which can be prevented by protecting using a grout sealer which forms an invisible barrier between the grout and the surface, protecting your investment for years to come.
Stripping & Sealing Vinyl & Linoleum Floors in Clinics and Surgeries
Your vinyl and lino surfaces can look fresh once again, just give us a call and allow us to take care of everything.
The polish is the uppermost layer of your vinyl or linoleum preventing dirt and liquids from penetrating and staining the floor and should be reapplied regularly. This involves stripping the previous polish using the manufacturer's approved products and applying a new layer. In most cases dry buffing is needed to achieve maximum shine, surface gloss and durability; although not always necessary, it's the only option for dealing with permanent staining, burns and deep scratches. Finally, a freshly stripped vinyl floor requires a minimum of 3 layers of polish for an acceptable gloss and sufficient surface protection.
Without polishing, linoleum and vinyl floors appear dull and matte and will become progressively susceptible to stains and damage. Advantages of correct polishing is the vinyl surface will become shiny and protected against wear and tear as well as stains. Generally, polished linoleum and vinyl floors require more frequent regular maintenance than flooring that features a protective layer applied by the manufacturer during production. A proper maintenance routine typically includes stripping and re-polishing at least once or twice per year, especially in areas with high foot traffic. You will know it's time to have you floors polished once they start looking dull and matte even after cleaning.
Stone, Tile and Grout Cleaning & Sealing
All porous natural and man made tiles should be sealed. Sealing your surfaces will help prevent & reduce staining by keeping most stains suspended at the surface. Sealing provides protection against chemical attack, deterioration and contamination and also reduces the damage caused from the stain itself. For non-porous tiles you should usually only need to seal the grout lines with our specialised impregnating penetrating sealer.
Sealing your tiles and/or grout helps prevent & reduce staining by providing a barrier against stain carrying substances. Sealing is the first important step towards protecting your investment against stains.
Tile Cleaners® provide specialised sealing solutions for all natural and man made surfaces
What Exactly Is a Sealer?
A sealer is a liquid, or carrier containing a resin that is applied to porous natural stone or porous man made surfaces that helps prevent staining from water and/or oil based materials as well as helps to achieve better results when cleaning your tiles.
You can easily test how porous your surfaces are by applying a drop of water to the surface and watching how it is absorbed. You can then see how any type of water based stain can be absorbed by the surface.
Sealing your surfaces helps prevent & reduce staining. It provides a barrier for a short time to remove the staining product and helps reduce the damage caused from the stain itself.

Why Clean Grout Lines?
One of the key secrets to great looking tiles is great looking grout. Grout is porous and as a result, easily absorbs grease, dirt and lime-scale. Spillages from wine, lemonades or any greasy substance can cause marks and patches in the joints of the floor. Grout between wall-tiles, particularly in damp areas of the Clinic, can and will become dirty and unattractive as a result of mould, mildew and lime-scale.
On running your finger along a grout line it will probably feel greasy, due to constant mopping or conventional cleaning which tends to loosen the dirt, move it around and then deposit it into the porous grout lines. Until now there has been no real solution, people have either accepted the surface can't be cleaned totally and put up with it or in extreme cases, rip out the tiles and replace them.

Sealing Grout Lines
Not all tiles require sealing, but even for those tiles than don't require sealing you can and should always seal the grout lines.
Grout sealing prevents spills from penetrating into the porous grout. Our impregnating penetrating water based grout sealer repels water and oil based liquids, prevents stains caused by food and beverages and protects the grout from dirt and impurities for up to 15 years.
After cleaning your grout it is recommended to apply an impregnating water based sealer specifically designed for grout that creates resistance to spills and stains. This also results in your grout becoming much easier clean in the future and makes your grout look cleaner for longer.
