Testimonials

I was about to sell my house, but was not happy with the tiles in the dining area. The tiles were white and shiny but the grout looked really dark and dirty. I already had a potential client; however the dark grout ruined the beauty of the room. I didn't have much time to fix the grout and decided to call Tile Cleaners as my real estate agency mentioned them. As my real estate agent said, Tile cleaners responded really quickly. They also pointed out that some of the grout was coming off in the hallway when they were there, which I had not even noticed. Thank you for fixing my problem so quickly. The house is sold now and I left your details with the new owner so they can keep the tiles in good condition.

I have several different freshly laid tiles in my new house. All pathways have stone tiles and there are marble tiles in the bathrooms and porcelain in the kitchen. I needed to get them sealed and was not sure if it was possible to seal them all. I contacted Tile Cleaners because my dad recommended them. He had a similar situation in his house and was very happy with the job Tile Cleaners had done. I was very worried about my tiles since they were brand new and very expensive. Tile Cleaners team were very patient with me, explaining how they were going to apply the sealer on different types of tiles, what sealer they would use, how long it would last for and advised me on how to take care of my tiles. I called Tile Cleaners a few times confirming details, asking for prices, making sure they could to the job during the weekend etc. The guys were amazingly patient and helpful. When I had gathered all the information I wanted, I was ready to go ahead. The work done by Tile Cleaners actually took less time than what it took me looking for information about it. Sorry for the pain I caused, and again thank you.

We got our tiles more than 25 years ago. We were told that we had a solvent sealer on our tiles, which apparently most companies wouldn't be able to strip off. However we rang a couple of places to check them out. No luck. A friend of mine recommended Tile Cleaners. We rang the guys and they agreed to have a look the next day. We decided to go ahead with the job after getting a satisfactory quote. Tile Cleaners team stripped and resealed our old tiles. We are very grateful for your help guys. Thank you again.

Other FAQs :

  • Q: Which process can I expect when you arrive to reseal my sandstone floors?
  • A: Our professional team will go through the job processes with you step by step so you know exactly what you're getting. The process includes stripping any previous sealer if it was applied, the sandstone is then thoroughly cleaned and neutralised so that it is free of dust, residue and anything else that can affect the new sealer. A new sealer is applied to the dry sandstone floor and allowed to set. The newly sealed sandstone will not only look new again, it will be protected and result in your sandstone becoming easier to maintain.
    • Q: There is a stain on my sandstone floor. Can you remove it?
    • A: If the stain is new and has not set in, we will probably be able to remove it. However, we cannot guarantee that we will remove it completely, but to its best possible condition. Certain stains might penetrate the natural stone and settle in deep below the surface and can be almost impossible to remove. It is important to have us strip, clean and seal your floor so in the future nothing will be able to stain your sandstone.
      • Q: What can I do to keep my sandstone tiles looking new?
      • A: To keep your sandstone tiles and grout looking new, Tile Cleaners® recommend cleaning each week with a damp microfibre cloth and a mild detergent to remove any dirt or grime from the tiled surface. Any strong detergents (any strong acid or alkali) may affect the sealer, mild detergents and pH neutral substances are strongly recommended. Our best advice to protect your sandstone tiles is to seal them with one of our highest quality sealers. This is the best protection you sandstone tiles can have against staining, while also resulting in regular maintenance becoming easier.
        • Q: How will you charge me for cleaning my sandstone tiles?
        • A: Tile Cleaners® charge per square metre for each separate room. There is a price list on the Tile Cleaners® website for you to review. Before we begin our work we will measure each room individually, confirm the work to be carried out as well as confirm all costs with you.
          • Q: How often should I seal my sandstone floors?
          • A: It depends on the type of sealer used and the amount of foot traffic the sandstone tiles are being exposed to. Australia's Deepshield™ range of deep impregnating water based sealer's, offer long term benefits with Deepshield™ Transparent Penetrating Sealer providing protection for up to 10 years. Topical sealer's have a life expectancy of around 3 years. If you have a high amount of foot traffic or perhaps severe weather conditions, you may experience a shorter lifetime. Sealing your sandstone tiles can also depend on the tiles condition. Once they begin showing patchy areas and are staining easily, you should have them resealed. Give us a call and we can assist you with all your enquiries.
