Natural stone is one of the most beautiful surfaces for any home or office, however, it can easily scratch in high foot traffic areas. A regular maintenance program is vital if your surface is to retain its original beauty. Special care is required when cleaning most surfaces.

You should generally only use warm water and a mild detergent on floors. Never use vinegar. The acid in vinegar damages, actually etches and removes the surface of some stone types. After mopping, dry the floor with a cotton towel or use a sh-mop to remove the moisture and prevent water spots.

Honing and polishing produce fairly opposite results. Polishing produces a smooth reflective finish while honing produces a more matte finish.

This will depend on the size of the area; larger jobs can require up to 3 days to polish while polishing a bench-top can take up to half a day. Tile Cleaners® do try to ensure work is completed within the same day to avoid as much disruption to your home or business as possible.

Yes, the mechanical resurfacing process used to polish your floors will remove all coatings, resulting in your floors being in an "as new" condition. Once honed, you should reseal your surfaces with a deep penetrating, impregnating sealer, which avoids staining and will reduce the effect of soiling.

Tile Cleaners® charge per square meter for each separate room. There is a price list on the Tile Cleaners® website for you to review. Before we begin our work we will measure each room individually, confirm the work to be carried out as well as confirm all costs with you.

We recommend that you measure each room separately. The simplest way to measure is by multiplying the width by the length. For example a room that is 3 meters long and 2 meters wide is 3 X 2 = 6m2 in total.

Tile Cleaning provides assistance with moving furniture during the floor sealing process.
