A: This will depend on the size of the area; larger jobs can require up to 3 days while honing a bench-top can take up to half a day. Tile Cleaners® do try to ensure work is completed within the same day to avoid as much disruption to your home or business as possible.

Q: How do I measure the size of the area to be honed?
A: We recommend that you measure each room separately. The simplest way to measure is by multiplying the width by the length. For example a room that is 3 meters long and 2 meters wide is 3 X 2 = 6m2 in total.

Q: What different types of travertine tiles do Tile Cleaners hone?

A: Honing will remove scratches and stains and give a more uniform appearance to your surface.

Q: Will honing remove the sealer from my travertine?
A: Yes, the mechanical resurfacing process used to hone your floors will remove all coatings, resulting in your floors being in an "as new" condition. Once honed, you should reseal your surfaces with a deep penetrating, impregnating sealer, which avoids staining and will reduce the effect of soiling.
