I have several different freshly laid tiles in my new house. All pathways have stone tiles and there are marble tiles in the bathrooms and porcelain in the kitchen. I needed to get them sealed and was not sure if it was possible to seal them all. I contacted Tile Cleaners because my dad recommended them. Q: Can grinding remove deep stains in the stone?
A: Grinding will remove scratches and stains and give a more uniform appearance to your surface.

Q: What is the difference between honing and grinding?
A: Grinding refers to the removal of large amounts of material from the surface of the stone. Grinding is used to remove deep scratches and staining as well as lippage(uneven surface) thereby smoothing out the surface of the area making it uniform. Honing is the smoothing of the stone, not as aggressive as grinding and removes very little material from the stone, giving a matte(not glossy as with polishing) look to the surface.

Q: Do I need to apply a sealer to my marble?
A: Tile Cleaners® recommend our clients apply a long lasting water based sealer such as a quality product from Australia's Deepshield® range of sealer's to their tiles as soon as they have been resurfaced. Your marble will maintain its beautiful character for longer, while also reduce the amount of required regular cleaning.

Q: What should I do to prepare for the surface grinding?
A: We recommend that you measure each rooMove all furniture and items off the floor so it is ready for when we arrive.

Q: How will you charge me for grinding my marble surfaces?
A: Tile Cleaners® charge per square meter for each separate room. There is a price list on the Tile Cleaners® website for you to review. Before we begin our work we will measure each area individually, confirm the work to be carried out as well as confirm all costs with you.
