Sealing Quarry has many different variables depending on the environment it exists in. Tile Cleaners ® Linden Park holds the experience and knowledge in selecting the perfect sealer for your specific tile. To ensure optimum protection is achieved only the highest quality sealers are used in our processes.

If you decide to go with a topical sealer rather than an impregnating sealer, then we recommend the use of least three coats. Apply an acrylic floor finish (at least two coats). Use a lamb's wool pad and a floor-polishing machine to apply a paste wax. Buff the floor once the wax dries. Periodically strip the wax off, clean the floor thoroughly and reapply the finishes. Stripping machines can be rented for this process. Dirt can be trapped under wax so be sure the entire floor is very clean before waxing. Use a synthetic scouring pad for stubborn spots and use a heavy-duty cleansing agent if you need to use a stronger product on stains.

Before sealing begins our technicians will assess your floor to know whether it has been previously sealed or not and what type of product was used. We understand that whether it's your personal home or a commercial business a superior results is expected and that is what we will provide.

A thorough professional clean of the area is carried out because any debris that is left on the tile will be sealed in.

Sealers are applied with a brush or mop like tool in a strategic manor to make sure the finish is even and all areas of the tile are thoroughly covered.

Correct preparation is needed to assure a premium finish is achieved for your Quarry floors. If your tiles have been previously sealed, especially if it was over 10 years ago, try to provide detail of the type of sealer that was used for our specialists to ensure the best match is made.

• Existing coatings must be stripped back to guarantee an even finish.
• Floors must be completely dry before the seal can begin.

Our Penetrating Impregnating Sealer provides a matte finish look as it penetrates the tile rather than sitting on the surface. This allows the tiles natural appearance to remain whilst still providing the best possible stain protection. This sealer is strongly recommended particularly for external Quarry and with proper regular maintenance your tiles will be protected for many years.

Our Topical based sealer provides a surface seal that leaves your Quarry with more of a glossy finish. It has a shorter lifetime compared to an impregnating sealer. If you were after a less natural look for your Quarry a topical seal would be your best option.

It is common with tiles such as Quarry that a solvent-based sealer has been used to seal them previously. For newly laid Quarry this isn't recommended due to its chemical compounds. But if a solvent sealer exists it will need more care and different types of products to strip and reseal. The new seal will also have to be solvent so it with adheres to any left over solvent after stripping. If a water-based sealer is applied over a solvent the finish may cause negative reactions and end in a poor result. Tile Cleaners ® Linden Park are able to strip and seal solvent sealed Quarry and still achieve a superb finish.

Prior to sealing your Quarry tiles, you should get them professionally cleaned, otherwise the dirt that is left underneath the sealer can become permanent.
